The shortsword Starlight is assuredly the mate of the rapier Moonlight, meant for the off-hand of the rapier's wielder.  It is designed along an old Harrudim style, which often used fanciful names for paired duelling weapons.  The silvery glint to the blade suggests the name is more than just a fancy, however; you recognize the metal as being of a rare sort which reacts to the light of stars.
