Badscan
Badscan
Syntax: Badscan app
- Despite its curious syntax, badscan app should be at the heart of every prod site immortal. Badscan app will display a list of all the current players whose backgrounds and descriptions have not yet immortal approval. It will further tell you the level of these players (useful for when you bust someone that's been lazy about it). Given that surnames are reserved for people of good standing, it should be obvious that they should not be dispensed to people whose name is still on the badscan list.
- Badscan will not print out people that *have* written descs and backgrounds before the required levels. Thus, immortals may wish to manually scan for extraordinary players who perform these duties before they have to, and reward them accordingly (at the least, data them for their efforts).
- People should not be taken off the badscan list unless they meet the criteria set down in the help files.
Approve
Syntax: approve <bg/desc> <char>
- Approve will take the target player's description or background off of the badscan list. This command implies that you approve of the desc or bg, and see no need for other immortals to harass the player in regards to it. Given this pretext, you should NOT approve a player's desc/bg unless you are certain that it meets the standards prescribed by our help files.
