Given the self-absorbed nature of most Raiders, those with an affinity for the sphere of water tend not to be well-suited for the life of a Raider, although this has not prevented several Raider Chieftains from inducting them as lackies. Typically composed of those individuals that were too fitful to languish within the hierarchical ranks of the thief guilds, Raiders tend to be chaotic in nature, with few-to-no compunctions about dealing-in-turn with the consequences of their violent actions. While their goals tend to vary from person to person, Raiders most frequently aspire to a lifestyle of fearsome notoriety, surrounded by riches, wenches, and cowering servants. | Given the self-absorbed nature of most Raiders, those with an affinity for the sphere of water tend not to be well-suited for the life of a Raider, although this has not prevented several Raider Chieftains from inducting them as lackies. [ 6] Siage: Becoming Fri Jul 25 07:13:55 2003 To: Raider Those of the Twilight: I pen this scroll with desire to join the Canyon. It is true I have recently been initiated into the Pack of the Windwolf. It is also true the path I walk is lightly shaded. And yes, it is true as well I wish to see the fall and destruction of order, law and the Guardians. Order, law and Guardians--- those things are hindrance and obstruction, encumberance and deterents. Order, law and the Guardians allow civilization to thrive and decay the pristine lands; those things do not allow the Pack to raze and destroy encampments of order and artificial. I suppose I can continue to do the work of the Windwolf without the Canyon, but as seen recently it seems you and I have come to blows when our blows should be directed at the Guardians. Reject me, and I still fight to eradicate the Guardians. If I am accepted, all the better; swarming numbers and brute strength do nothing but strike fear into the decaying city-ghouls of civilization and wrest power from the Guardians. I would like to make your number larger. I await your word, by mouth or scroll. Siage Feujund-bel

[ 7] Kachk: A hastily scribbled missive. Sat Jul 26 11:02:39 2003 To: RAIDER It seems that my lot has been cast earlier than I had hoped. I had planned to gain my final title, and then speak to my allies and cohorts in the canyon about membership, however Syalaesti has enraged me beyond control. We must smite the guardians, and remove their leader, Erythies, the freakish lizard-being, from this world forever. I believe that I will be an asset, and I can certainly deal much damage to those who stand before us. With Isstyehts I have shown myself to have heart and the strength to carry out plans. I remain, Yours, Kachk, Wielder of big axes.
Goals of the house:
To rape, pillage, steal, filch, felch, kill, maim, murder the rest of the world. Also to people within the house.
Arkhural's revision:
The Raiders are a gang of bandits purely motivated by their basest instincs, e.g. greed, lust, gluttony, anger, etc. Unlike other houses, they are not united by any singular set of beliefs or motivations; Raiders are a strictly self-interested set of individuals, and have been known to frequently attack and/or kill each other over minor differences. The Raiders are unified solely by the fact that they can reap more for themselves by collaborating with others than they could on their own. There have been several periods in time when the Raiders were further united by a shared sense of fear/hatred, whether it was directed at the Guardians or at an iron-fisted leader.
