The Black Libram of Souls appears notoriously in some of the darker episodes of Avendar's past.
One can find reference to it in Titan Lore, and it featured prominently in the conflict between Converu and Sothmogga, allowing the mad void archmage, Vila, to complete his transformation into a lich. The book has been stolen and battled over thoughout the eons, and it was finally destroyed as the Converu saga drew to a close.
Not all of the book, however, was destroyed. A single page survives, embedded in the wall of the Dark Chasm, slapping the imm staff with future quest hooks.
