                 ==================================

Early Pious
- Work on board, canvas, and relief
- Serious, formal work
- Often depictions of gods in places of honour, looking remote
- Aelin, Human

                 ----------------------------------

Jaranber
- Paintings on animal skins, tents, clothing
- Crude sculpture
- Bold shapes with a definate outline
- Somewhat abstract depictions of the gods, the spirits, and the forces of
  nature
- Kankoran

NOTE: From the Kankoran phrase "Jaraan-Baarr", which means outside of ones
self, indictating an awareness of the powers around one.

                 ----------------------------------

Pious
- Work on board, canvas, and relief
- Extremely detailed
- Still very posed and formal
- Developement of Aelin symbolism
- Aelin, Human

                 ----------------------------------

Ciandr (common - beautynature)
- Carvings out of wood, both relief and free-standing
- Shapes and patterns are worked into wood or carved from it
- The goal was to bring forth nature's beauty without making it unnatural
- Ethron, Caladaran

                 ----------------------------------

High Detamnat (common - superstitious; known as "Stilnil" to Caladarans)
- Developed ceramic art, largely based on historical stories and events
- Rich glazes developed
- Experimentations in shape
- Caladaran

NOTE: When the word "Detamnat" is spoken, most will think of the developed
caladaran ceramic art, instead of its actual beginnings in superstition. It
no longer has any purpose besides ornamental telling of history.

                 ----------------------------------

Slirucasro (aelin - quintessence)
- Worked mostly on canvas, some sculpture
- Began to stray from religious topics
- Skill of the artist become more important
- Studies of still life and form very common
- Buildings again become more ornate
- Aelin, Human

                 ----------------------------------

Aelin Hisilan (aelin - revelry)
- Worked mostly on canvas, some sculpture
- Art begins to become a bit frivolous in the attention given to detail
- Part of the worth of the piece is how clever it is, how many subtle stories
  or messages lie within it
- Aelin

                 ----------------------------------

Ashi Uzitha (shuddeni - beautiful darkness)
- Work on canvas, cloth, and some sculpture
- Brought from the shuddeni caves
- Typically dark scenes of horror and torture, but where it melds into a
  beautiful composition
- Proportion was often extended or changed, to fit the piece compositionally
- Human, Shuddeni (mostly sculpture)
