Greetings Champions of the Light,

I, Menahem, of the Eaellaiat family, hereby offer my services and spirit, in
the name Jolinn, to the Order of Champions.

Initially, I will try to summarize my training and background. I was born and
raised in the temple of Jolinn, at Earendam where my mother served as a
cleric. I have never known my father, but he was said to be a fearless
follower of the Falcon King, and a grand-master of ak'anginta. I believe the
tales, for I definitely carried some warrior blood in my veins. I repudiated
my mother's and priests' recommendations of becoming a scholar and
joined the ranks of the Company of the Pegasus. I have learned a lot from
my trainers who were warrior-mages of true heart and skill. I have studied
the art of spiritual magic to aid my combat talents, and my crusade against
the evil. By the time my training was completed, I moved to Bandor to seek
friends and comradeship. Armathil, a templar of the seas, Kayrris, a spirit
scholar of great talent, and Yalarin, a brave warrior of Jolinn had become
my best friends and companions during my journey to overcome evil
throughout Avendar. Together we had banished many undead in the
cursed family of Gogoth, tried to overcome the curse in Nordath, fought
against the dark priests in Yithoul, and many more evils that lurk the
realms were brought to rest before our blades. I had also been targeted by
many villains with dark talents, but they had all fell. Like Jaguleth, a mad
fire scholar whom I have agreed to return his family dagger in cease of his
harm to the innocent, like Jynthir, a slayer of young innocents by the use
of his fire runes, who has attacked me relentlessly, and fell to my blade
three times. Like Tsaril, an earth scholar of deception and greed, like
Vrathes, a srryn warrior of the void, like Yisain, a shuddeni swordmaster
In all the cases, the villains attacked me first, and I had to chase them to
deliver the justice. I offered most of them my hand after they fell, instructed
them to confess their souls and leave the path of darkness, as I would
advice them before the battle, would they not be that much hesitant to
attack me. I have also been instructed by Lord Teris, the Son of Jolinn, on
the ideals of the Champions, and by Lady Kald, the follower of Rystaia, on
the ways to fight against the most malevolent kinds of evil.

I try to be as kind and helpful to people around me, for dignity and self-
esteem could easily bring one down in the eyes of people. I know that my
talents are limited, and that I am only a mortal to be forgotten, thus my aim
in life is to leave a world of light and peace when I am gone. I would put
my life before me to protect the innocent, and would lead any strategic
assault to counter the plans of darkness. Perhaps a blood gift from my
father, when I face fear I respond with total courage, and face it. In my
childhood, I was used to be traveling through dark tunnels just because I
feared them. In the Company of Pegasus, I had heard many times of
others talking about me as a 'baresark', someone who loses all sense of
reason and fear in combat, becoming the most deadly of opponents. But, I
do disagree with such stories, for I believe I control myself, at least
subconsciously. Nonetheless, I would never condemn anyone for merely
their hearts radiating evil. I would look for some evidence or orders from
my higher to initiate in aggressive motion. I try and will try harder to show
mercy both during a fight and after a fight. After all, as the champion ideals
tell it, it is not through the destruction of the evil person that we can assist
them. Anyhow, if the destruction is inevitable, then at least some hope
should be given to them after the battle, and a chance for them to redeem
themselves.

I have already dedicated myself to the path of light and goodness, and I
have trained myself as much as possible both in the arts of the battle and
of the topography of Avendar. At this point, I offer my services to the
Champions of Avendar, to join the unity, to carry out the ideals of the light,
to stand against all those who oppose our beliefs. I believe the stones of
power should always be kept in the safe rooms of Aramril, for their powers
being tapped by wrong people may cause great harm to the innocent. I
wish to see the Champions of the Light rise to their power as it was in the
old days. I am not a general, but merely a soldier of the light, and I am
ready to stand along other soldiers, and obey the order of my generals, to
bring peace and harmony to Avendar.

I promise in the name of my family, and in the name of Jolinn, that I will not
fail you.

Thank you.
