Yorna

Yorna 

Yorna are creatures whose origins lie in the Sundering of magic. Wights who were subject to the violent magical forces were twisted and mutated into the yorna. Now they are rare and solitary creatures that live on the fringes of society. They have the ability to shift shape, and generally take the form of beautiful young women, so as to lure their food, men, away from safety and to their deaths.

In their true form, they are a creature of shadows and darkness, somewhat insubstantial, though fangs and claws are physical enough. Their eyes burn like blue flame.

There is a yorna on Alensha, and there may be others throughout Avendar.
