Ajim-Chiaj

The Ajim-Chiaj is an organization of nefortu templars and rogues of the nefortu colony in Rahh-Nefor, which provides the (minimum) necessary element of cohesion for colony. As nefortu tend to be a chaotic lot and quickly run toward anarchy, the stern hand of the Ajim-Chiaj keeps things from getting entirely out of hand.

The Ajim-Chiaj doesn't operate by formal rules or codes, but simply by the whim of the current leader (Tzayjal), and is more reactive in nature than proactive. The strong presence of the Ajim-Chiaj in Rahh-Nefor is primarily due the need to defend the colony against the population of dangerous granite drakes in the Sea Cavern.

Most of the members of the Ajim-Chiaj come through forcing those nefortu too slow or stupid to escape the press-gangs into service.

Were times more peaceful in the Sea-Cavern, the nefortu colony at large would likely not suffer the Ajim-Chiaj press-gangs and stern presence, and the colony would become a more fragmented and chaotic place.
