Faction

Proposal: A full overhaul of factions is needed to make them both consistent and useful with regards to the request and other reputation-related systems as well as robust enough to support future potential projects. These are the minimum steps required to create a usable faction system:

• Creation of a usable definition of a faction and guidelines for when it is appropriate for a faction to exist
• Complete review of all extant factions in light of definitions and guidelines
  • Pruning of irrelevant or inappropriate factions
  • Renaming or reworking of salvagable factions
  • Creation and addition of factions determined to be needed or appropriate
• Complete internal faction document that includes:
  • Explanation or definition
  • General ethos/alignment
  • Nation, race, and/or divine affiliation
• Either help documents or a player-facing webpage that explains each faction's IC purpose
